February Nintendo Direct?

Have you guys been hearing all the rumors that there will be a Direct next week? They pretty much do it every February, and people are reading into some things that make it seem like it's going to be next week.

What do you think they'll talk about? Do you think they'll tease their next hardware yet?

I feel like February would be a weird time to announce it... They still gotta sell Princess Peach Showtime and the Paper Mario TTYD remake

Not when they've got new software to sell! Tip your hat that your system is outgoing and people might hold on and wait for it's replacement.

One thing I have heard is that people are questioning whether or not they'll skip a February Direct since there will be a hardware announcement later (allegedly). They could just fill it up with random farm games and indie stuff. They do that all the time lol.

There's still release dates to reveal for Luigi's Mansion 2 HD and Paper Mario: the Thousand-Year Door plus a final push for Princess Peach Showtime. Add in maybe a few other less impactful Nintendo games (like ports of Twilight Princess HD and The Wind Waker HD) and some third-party stuff (Fantasy Life i, new Professor Layton, Beyond Good & Evil remaster, maybe some Microsoft/Bethesda stuff like Hi-Fi Rush if that's happening) and there's enough stuff for at least a C-tier Direct.

I complained about the amount of farming RPGs in a previous Direct, but man, the ones coming to Switch are only scratching the surface. I swear there's at least 1,000 farming RPGs on Steam alone.
