The SEGA Mini is quite excellent. Controllers aside, everyone is going to disagree on game choice. If my biggest issue is I want more, that means they did something right. SEGA CD next would be great.

Even though most of those games are terrible.

There were a couple of gems mixed in there from what I understand. Sewer Shark and Night Trap were high profile garbage. Hideo Kojima, who directed the metal gear solid games, made Snatcher for SEGA CD. Then there was Shining Force, Flashback, and Sonic CD is supposed to be decent. I'm sure there's a stack of others

The FMV games were essentially junk. Snatcher was interesting but extremely slow paced. Flashback was already on the Genesis. Sonic CD is a mixed bag. You can play it on your phone if you want to try it out. It’s okay at best. That’s not to say the CD drive was a complete waste, it wasn’t. What I would like to see with a CD Mini is the rare games that are extremely expensive these days, mostly RPGS. Shining Force is a good call.

And just for fun throw in Road Avenger, Time Gal, and why not Sewer Shark? Represent the console, warts and all.

And I think Night Trap HAS to be on it. It’s arguably one of the most important games of all time.

How on earth is Night Trap an "important game"?

I think that was sarcasm. But there were the Congress hearings in the early '90s. Night Trap along with Mortal Kombat were two of the games that sparked enough controversy to garner government attention. So you could say that Night Trap is responsible for the ESRB
