It's important for everyone to work together to not push things and stir it up, though. If someone makes a small, obscure comment in passing, and you ask them to clarify, fully knowing where that's going to go, that's just stirring things up. Everyone knows where both you and Boss Hogg lie, politically. He's not the only one who has gotten bitter about politics in the past...

They are sometimes closely held opinions and due to the political landscape, we are being manipulated to be very, very divided so I think this is to be expected.
